Description: In Cooperative/Collaborative groups, this lesson will actively engage students to represent decimals in different forms. An "Essential Question" will be used to activate background knowledge and set the purpose for understanding how to represent decimals. Students will create a chart, use the Internet to play interactive games, and watch videos about representing.

Who Is On Our Money?
Whose picture is that on our money? It's an important (although trivial) part of our everyday lives. Someone at sometime in our history decided these people should be on our currency. The medium which we use to function on a day to day basis. If they felt that way, we should at least know the names of our forebearers. This podcast is just a fun way of identifying the faces on the most common pieces of currency, and some not so common.

Title: Xpedition Hall
Description: Built around the National Geography Standards, Xpedition Hall is a virtual museum that is filled with interactive exhibits designed to provoke reflection on how human beings shape and are shaped by the world in which we live. The Hall contains one exhibit for each of standard, and groups these exhibits into six galleries, which correspond to the standards six underlying '' elements.'' Students use can use an image or map of the Hall to navigate through the exhibits.
