Title: John Marshall: True to His Party?
Description: Students will take part in an inquiry-based lesson in which they will analyze the rulings by John Marshall as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. After evaluation, they will justify through blogging whether John Marshall held up the characteristics of the Federalist Parties intended as a "midnight judge".
Subject: Social Studies (7 - 12)
Title: The United States Supreme Court: Published Opinions
Description: Students will read and analyze published opinions of the United States Supreme Court to determine the type of opinions issued by the court. Students will select a justice and attempt to determine that justice's ideology as they read the opinions. Students will utilize the Cornell University Law Library via the Internet to conduct their research.
Subject: Social Studies (12), or Technology Education (9 - 12)
Title: Court Reporters
Description: Students will research assigned Supreme Court cases and write a case summary. Students will create podcasts of their summaries. Summaries will be added to class website for future students to access.

Title: Xpedition Hall
Description: Built around the National Geography Standards, Xpedition Hall is a virtual museum that is filled with interactive exhibits designed to provoke reflection on how human beings shape and are shaped by the world in which we live. The Hall contains one exhibit for each of standard, and groups these exhibits into six galleries, which correspond to the standards six underlying '' elements.'' Students use can use an image or map of the Hall to navigate through the exhibits.
