Title: Three Meals For Gregory
Description: The purpose of this lesson is to motivate students to seek good nutrition.
This lesson will teach students how to use the Food Guide Pyramid to eat healthy meals. Students will learn about the six different food groups and how to plan a meal incorporating all six. After reading the book "Gregory The Terrible Eater," students will be divided into 3 groups of 5 to create a breakfast, lunch and dinner for Gregory the goat.
Each group will create an audio podcast explaining what their breakfast, lunch, and dinner for Gregory consist of. Each group will present their project to the whole class.

This student created podcast has information regarding tips to stay healthy. At the conclusion of the podcast is a short quiz to reflect back on information presented. The podcast was made using different techniques to try to gain attention to the facts presented so young students would be engaged.
This podcast identifies seven healthy ways that young and old can stay healthy and fit. It explains why we should eat breakfast, exercise, and drink milk just to name a few. This was designed as a quick way to explain to kids that it is easy to get and stay fit by following seven habits. It is a easy and fun way to help students and adults change their lives to be healthier.
