Literacy and Justice Professional Development Information

Literacy and Justice for ALL - Year 2

Intended Audience - ARI school teams comprised of a coach, a lead teacher (s), and led by the principal

Structure - The format of each session is  content study and team planning time.

Content - Instructional strategies specific to questioning and generating student responses via discussion and writing, formative assessment, and peer coaching

Delivery Windows - Contact your ARI Regional Staff for your specific dates and locations.

• Session One - October 3-14, 2011
• Session Two - November 28-December 9, 2011
• Session Three - January 30-February 10, 2012

Professional Learning Unit (PLU) - The ARI will not offer an ACLD approved PLU in 2011-2012. However, LEAs may choose to award PLU cedit based on ARI professional development. (contact your ARI regional staff for more information)
