MathWorks - Achieve has produced a series of “Mathematics at Work” brochures to examine how higher-level mathematics is used in today’s workplaces.The brochures present case studies drawn from leading industries nationwide to illustrate the advanced mathematics knowledge and skills embedded in jobs that offer opportunities for advancement and are accessible to high school graduates. The series underscores that all high school graduates - regardless of whether they enroll in college, join the workforce or enter the military - benefit from acquiring a comprehensive knowledge base and skill set in mathematics.

MODELS OF COLLABORATION is a three-part program that features elementary, middle, and high school collaboration/co-teaching teams. The DVDs are professional development resources for regional educational laboratories, school districts, and Institutions of High Education (pre-service teachers). Each DVD contains video clips of collaborative teachers:
- Implementing instructional through frequently used co-teaching models;
- Designing and organizing instruction during collaborative planning;
- Engaging in conversation about the collaborative process.

Standards for Mathematical Practices Observation Tool
QUALITYCORE - ACT's QualityCore is a research-driven solution to raise the quality and intensity of high school core courses. It is a comprehensive program that supports the current curriculum and instructional methods. Components of the QualityCore program include an interactive formative item pool that provides educators with customizable quizzes and interim/benchmark assessments in core high school courses. For 2012-13, Alabama will implement QualityCore in English 9, English 10, Algebra I, and Geometry. In addition to the formative and benchmark/interim assessments, comprehensive assessments that provide data on cumulative learning are provided for each of the core high school courses.

We have taken the QC course standard and correlated it to standards in our Alabama course of study. Please note that these are draft documents and edits are still being made. AMSTI (Alabama Mathematics, Science, & Technology Initiative) is the Alabama Department of Education's initiative to improve math and science teaching statewide. Simply click on Math in the top menu and you will find a multitude of resources to assist you in implementing the 2010 Alabama Course of Study: Mathematics.
CCGPS.org - This site is a clearinghouse for math resources. Just select a grade level and a math standard, click on the link, and you will be taken to a page with multiple resources for teaching the standard.

K-5 Math Teaching Resources - This site provides an extensive collection of free resources, math games, and hands-on math activities aligned with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. The free printables are suitable for use in math centers, small group activities or whole-class settings. Instructions for each activity are presented in child-friendly language to enable students to work on tasks independently after a brief introduction to the task.

Math Practices - Explore this site to learn more about the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice and how they can be connected to the content standards. Use our Illustrations, centered on student dialogues, to see the Mathematical Practices (MPs) in action. Each Illustration of the Mathematical Practices (MPs) consists of a mathematics task; a student dialogue based on that task; information about grade level, standards, and the context for the dialogue; teacher reflection questions; a mathematical overview; and optional student materials. While the primary use of Illustrations is for teacher learning about the MPs, some components are designed for classroom use with students. Secondary Sample Tasks - These secondary tasks, with development led by the Dana Center, are a rich set of instructional tasks that exemplify expectations leading to Achieve's college-and career-ready standards. These tasks cover a range of student expectations, include a variety of solution strategies, and correlate to other documents being created for this work.
Shell Centre for Mathematical Education - Mathematics Assessment Project (MAP) aims to bring to life the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in a way that will help teachers and their students turn their aspirations for achieving them into classroom realities. This site provides summative tests or tasks, formative assessment lessons and professional development modules. An excellent sources of tasks for high school teachers!
Spelling City - This site provides math word lists based on the Common Core State Standards so teachers and parents can supplement the curriculum with interactive educational vocabulary games. Vocabulary lists are provided for grades K-12.
Standards for Mathematical Practice PD Resources - The Iowa Department of Education has organized professional development materials (including assessments and students cases) to help teachers better understand the Standards for Mathematical Practice.
