Digital Tool Description: Dropbox is a file sharing service that allows people to share copy some of their files onto an online cloud service and gives them the option of accessing those files from another computer as well as the option to share those files with others that they can invite.
Students will each be given a separate assignment pertaining our solar system. They will research it, put together a presentation on the computer, then upload it to Dropbox for everyone in the class to have access to them.

Digital Tool Description: Wordle allows students to create "word clouds" from self-chosen text. Students can choose from several different layouts, fonts, and color schemes. This tool can be used for any standard. Students are able to focus on a certain aspect and use facts or adjectives to describe the aspect in words.

Digital Tool: Adventure of the Agronauts
Digital Tool Description: This tool allows students to explore the various components of the solar system. There is a wealth of information of various aspects of the solar system, from astronauts and moon missions to growing plants. Students can listen to the audio as they read along with each section. There are missions or sections on Earth, Sun, Moon, and how plants grow with light from the sun. This tool also includes interactive visuals such as the moon revolving around the Earth. This tool incorporates light, soil, and gravity into learning about the solar system. Also included, are extra activities such as web quests and printable worksheets, etc. There is also a glossary of terms that students can click on to find out definitions. Students can also take a quiz at the end of each mission to find out how much they learned. These quizzes can be used by the teacher to assess student knowledge of the solar system.

Digital Tool Description: Students use this interactive to discover information about each of the planets as well as asteroids, comets, and satellites. If NASA has a mission there you can click on it to learn more. This interactive will allow you to play games as you learn about different items in the Solar System.
