Title: Here Comes the Mouse!
Digital Tool: Mini Mouse - Simple Mouse Practice Games
Digital Tool Description: Each digital tool teaches basic manipulative mouse skills.
Students will engage in simple games that teach students to move the mouse and click, click and drag, basic timing skills and judgement of spacial relationships. Basic eye-hand coordination and timing skills are introduced.

Digital Tool: Sparklefish
Digital Tool Description: This educational app is a Mad libs type story creation game to reinforce parts of speech knowledge.
Title: Comparing and Contrasting
Digital Tool: Venn Diagram
Digital Tool Description: The Venn diagram app allows students to compare and contrast any topic. The diagram can then be saved to the camera roll on the iPad as well as emailed as a PDF file.
Title: Counting Kindergarteners

Digital Tool Description:
This tool will allow students to become actively engaged in lessons by creating their own video that corresponds with topics of the lesson. The students will work in groups collaboratively to produce their short video. This tool can be used with any content area.

Digital Tool Description: Nearpod is an online tool that allows teachers to create presentations that engage students as well as assess students.
Title: Build Typing Skills
Digital Tool: BBC Dance Mat Typing
Digital Tool Description: BBC Dance Mat Typing provides an interactive typing site for teaching elementary students typing skills. The program is broken down into learning two letters at a time. Students watch a video on the letters that they are learning and then the students are able to apply what they have learned.
Title: A Walk in Their Shoes: Exploring the Underground Railroad
Digital Tool: The Underground Railroad: The Journey
Digital Tool Description: In this interactive tool, students are presented with real life situations that a slave might have faced when attempting to escape on the Underground Railroad. In these situations, students must decide if yes they would or no they wouldn't go forth with the options presented to them. Students are introduced to multiple people who were instrumental in the success of the Underground Railroad, such as Harriet Tubman, Thomas Garrett, Frederick Douglas, and Susan B. Anthony. If followed all the way thorough, students will conclude their journey in Canada as free citizens.

Digital Tool: Screen Chomp (iPad app)
Digital Tool Description: Students will use the iPad app ScreenChomp to improve sight word recognition and fluency reading skills.
Title: Interdependence: How are we connected?
Digital Tool: National Geographic Global Closet Calculator
Digital Tool Description: The Global Closet Calculator is an interactive tool that allows students to see how we are connected to other countries through the use of resources. The first part of the interactive shows students how their clothes connect them globally. In the second part, the students will have to make critical decisions as they follow the journey of making a pair of blue jeans or an MP3 player.

Digital Tool: Weebly
Digital Tool Description: Weebly is a great technological tool that allows the user to design their own website. This tool is great for students because it introduces them to the technological aspects of web design. It allows the user to design the website with various themes to choose from. The site also allows the user to add photos, videos, and other audio players to their website. Social media such as Facebook and Twitter can also be linked to the website. Webpages for the site can also be created and managed to include blogs and comments about anything the user desires.
