Materials and Equipment:

Stories and nursery rhymes, journals, art paper (one sheet per student), pencils, crayons, markers

Technology Resources Needed:

None

Background/Preparation:

Read stories and nursery rhymes.

Procedures/Activities:
1.)Discuss with students fact or fantasy as related to a familiar story or nursery rhyme.

2.)Divide a piece of art paper in half. Write "Fact" on one side and "Fantasy" on the other side. Give one copy to each student.

3.)Read another story or nursery rhyme to students.

4.)Instruct students to draw pictures from the story representing fact or fantasy on the appropriate side of the art paper.
