Second Annual ISTE SIG
Media Specialist Technology Innovation Award


This annual award identifies, promotes, and sustains excellence in collaboration that are innovative, technology-based, and driven by the school library media center to support K-12 curricular and instructional needs.

Who will be recognized?  Each year we'll recognize three teams - one each from the elementary, middle, and secondary levels. A team is one school librarian and one teacher, who together have conducted an exemplary technology program extending beyond the library.

PRIZES Include:

  • $1000 cash award payable to the school media center (1 per team)
  • $500 NECC travel stipend for winning teams
  • NECC registration for each team member
  • A one-year membership to ISTE (2 per team)
  • A plaque (one per team)
  • $1000 professional library from Linworth Publishing (1 per team)
  • A one-year subscription to Library Media Connection magazine (1 per person)
