Alabama Camellia Children's Choice Book Award Section

In 2009, a statewide voting was held to rename the Alabama Children's Choice Book Award Program. This section is devoted to the newly named Alabama Camellia Children's Choice Award. Congratulations and thanks go to Jane Smith of Tuscaloosa County Schools for her submission. The Alabama Camellia Award program (formerly known as the Emphasis on Reading program) selects books from three grade level categories: K-1 (10), 2-3 (10), and 4-6 (5). Here you will find the current book list, activity guide, criteria for selection, program timeline, voting ballots, online registration form, past winners, and any current news about the program.
