Discovering the Library!
Overview:
In this podcast, I am trying to get the students excited about coming into the Library.  I am trying to promote library usage by the students. I want the students to see the library as a place they can come, visit, and  learn about new and exciting things. I want the students to see that the library can be a fun place, not just a dull and uneventful room.  I want the students to visualize a happy, relaxing, informative room that they can't wait to come and visit.

Perfect Inventions=Perfect World
Overview:
My students have been studying ancient civilizations and their influence on history.  During our study we took a close look at the achievements of the Chinese, the Greek, and the Romans.  We realized that these three civilizations provided people with amazing inventions and languages.  We used this knowledge to write our own version of the book Perfect Inventions Perfect World (2000) by Holly Springs Elementary. The students "invented" items to improve our world and named them with words of either Greek or Latin origin.
