Mr. Strickland and the Gridded Earth
Overview:
Latitude and longitude are important tools to reading a map.  By allowing us to grid the surface of the Earth, they make locating areas, countries, and regions easier.  They also help to explain the hours of the day, and the climate experienced in different parts of the globe.  This podcast uses humor and easy to understand explanations to describe both latitude and longitude, and their usefulness in mapping the globe.
