Overview:
The student written and produced podcast is used to introduce or reinforce the skill of fact and opinion.  Students used information about pigs to do their podcast.

Jackie Mitchell:  The Girl Who Struck Out Babe Ruth
Overview:
Using an interview format, students relay information about Jackie Mitchell, the girl who struck out Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig.  A picture of Jackie Mitchell introduces the interview, with transitions resembling a Vintage newscast.  After the interview, students present children's literature about Jackie Mitchell.

Four Types of Sentences
Overview:
Using a song, students sing the four types of sentences, as well as a basic definition of them.  As song is sung, photos of student-made posters reflect the lyrics.  A brief review is given, with students reading a sentence and then identifying the type of sentence for each example.  The podcast ends with the chorus of the "Four Types of Sentences" song.

Overview:
Students complain that all teachers do is boss them around and tell them what to do, but many times, never tell them w.hy they must follow these rules. In this entertaining podcast, we turn the skill of cause and effect into a fun game show where students can see WHAT happens to students and WHY it happened. Students will get to see what happens to students when they don't follow the rules, all while learning and reviewing cause and effect.

Overview:
This podcast is about prepositions. Three students are rapping prepositions, and another student walks up and asks them what they are doing. They tell him that prepositions are cool, and they teach him what prepositions are.
