Overview:
This podcast can be used by either technology teachers or Civics teachers.  Technology teachers can use it to teach the use and possibilities of the new technologies.  The civics teacher can use it to open up discussion on laws and regulations involving those same technologies; as well as the history of recorded music up to today.  The podcast uses hip, cutting edge references to the internet and its associated uses, so kids will "get" it, but it also contains information that parents can use to help them understand their child's use of the internet.

Taking a World Tour with Kids InfoBits
Overview:
In this podcast, students research a country of their choosing (however, the teacher may make assignments if deemed appropriate). They will use a sheet designed to record information on the country they research. They will find information about the country's flag, seal, natural resources, population, etc. At the end of the project students will create a poster about the country they have researched. They will also use the "my bookbag" feature to save their search results.

Overview:
This podcast consists of four meteorologists describing Doppler radar.  The first is Ms. Jessica Talley and Ms. Kristina Sumrall from the National Weather Service in Calera, AL.  She describes how Doppler works.  The second is Ms. Stephanie Walker of Alabama's13 (NBC).  She is a broadcast meteorologists and tells how she uses Doppler to inform the public about upcoming weather.  Finally, James Spann from ABC3340 tells about tornadoes and how they look on Doppler radar.
