Christmas Around The World Podcast Series
Overview:
Each year in December, second graders study the origins of different holiday traditions.  We "travel" (via Google Earth) to different countries and cities to explore where common customs originated.  View this podcast to catch a glimpse of how this unit is organized and how each country is "remembered". There is always a craft or special snack to remember each country. I hope this podcast can be used for students to research and learn about holiday customs as well as for teachers to learn and implement this unit into their own curriculums.
