Senator George Norris Reenactment
Overview:
Senator George Norris of Nebraska is known as "The Father of TVA."  He had the idea for creating TVA to help people in the Tennessee Valley. Norris worked with President Franklin Roosevelt to create the Tennessee Valley Authority in 1933.  Senator Norris often visited the Tennessee Valley and Norris Dam is named for him. David Landis, a former State Senator from Nebraska, looks a lot like Senator Norris did when TVA was created.  This video shows Landis portraying Senator Norris as he tells the story of TVA.
