Title: Newton's Three Laws
Description: This technology-based lesson will review Newton's three laws of motion. After reviewing the laws, the students will be divided into three groups. Each group will be assigned one of Newton's laws and asked to create a presentation demonstrating their assigned law. The students will present their law to the class and be scored using a rubric.

Title: River's Path
Description: What determines the path of a river? Rivers follow the path of least resistance changing the landscape by carrying sediment and debris along the way.


Subject: Mathematics (4 - 7), or Science (5), or Technology Education (6 - 8)
Title: Questioning NASA
Description: In this lesson students will work collaboratively to explore the "Big Question" that led up to this lesson was "Why are there two solid rocket boosters used to launch the space shuttle instead of one with the same amount of fuel?" This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science University, GEMS-U Project.

Title: The Moon's Craters
Description: This lesson will help students understand impact craters and infer how they were formed and the reason for their differences in size.


Subject: Science (5), or Technology Education (3 - 5)
Title: Experiencing Newton's Laws of Motion
Description: This lesson will approach the study of Newton's 3 Laws of Motion using McGraw-Hill Science textbook Unit F. The students will be given an overview of the laws and vocabulary words to study. After introducing and explaining the concept of the laws, the students will be divided into three groups and provided a syllabus for producing a multimedia presentation of one of the laws. The lesson will culminate with the presentation by the students and an activity time in which the laws will be explored with games and activities.

Description: The purpose of this lesson, from Science NetLinks, is to demonstrate that air takes up space, and puts pressure, or pushes, on everything around it. To start the lesson students are asked to write an explanation of what air is. At various points in the lesson they are be asked to revisit their explanations and refine them based on the phenomena they have experienced in the lesson.

Description: In this Science NetLinks lesson, students explore how the Earth's and moon's gravity affects the path of a rocket launched into space. The focus of this lesson is on Earth's gravitational pull, as well as forces and how the motion of an object changes.
