Subject: Science (9 - 12) Title: Camouflage Predation Challenge
Description: Through this simulation, students will understand the role of camouflage in keeping animals from attracting attention of their predators. Using newspaper and patterned wrapping paper, students will construct two habitats. Students will then compete in timed hunts to spot and collect objects within the habitats and will graph the results of their hunt.This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science University, GEMS-U Project.

Description: This lesson requires students to use technology to research information on any organism from one of the six kingdoms. Students use the information to produce a PowerPoint presentation or booklet to present to their classmates. This project covers several biology and zoology objectives and is intended to be a review of the material previously covered.This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.
