Title: ¡A La Restaurante!
Description: This is an activity to test the strength of the students. It allows students to exercise everything that they have learned throughout the school year. It is suitable for Spanish I-Spanish IV students. It is an end-of-the-year activity and can be used as a project or final exam. Students will take a field trip to a Mexican restaurant and speak in total Spanish to test their knowledge of the language.

Title: Russian Calendar: Seasons and Months
Description: The purpose of this lesson is to acquire appropriate calendar vocabulary for future use in exercises, dialogues and everyday conversations. This lesson should be followed by a series of lessons on perfecting the knowledge of the newly acquired vocabulary, learning how to use it in speech situations, identifying and giving out the dates and days of the week for particular events, etc.

Title: Pen Pal Mania!
Description: In this lesson, students will use the target language to correspond with a native speaker. This is an excellent activity for students in second semester of second year or higher.

Title: Health Expressions auf Deutsch
Description: The lyrics to a song provide help for beginner German students to learn and recall some common German health expressions. Since it to the melody of "This is the Song That Never Ends."


Subject: Languages Other Than English (Foreign Languages) (6 - 12), or Technology Education (9 - 12)
Title: Greeting Exchange auf Deutsch
Description: This is a great "first day of first-year German" activity. Using the melody to "Are You Sleeping" introduce students to a typical exchange of greetings. If taught on the first day of school, students will be able to "speak German" immediately.

Title: German Food and Eating Customs
Description: Working in small groups, students plan and serve a typical German supper, using the studied vocabulary to express their needs and opinions. Presentations of cultural customs, cultural differences, and menus make efficient use of limited computer access. (The lesson is easily adapted to other culture studies.)

Title: Touring Our School Through Two Languages
Description: This lesson will help students combine the tools of technology with language skills to communicate with non-English speaking students in the community.

Description: The goals of this EDSITEment lesson are to strengthen student perceptions of the real-world importance of mastering a foreign language, to give students at all levels practice in reading and writing French, to engage lower level students in using their knowledge of French to plan a tour of Paris, and to engage upper level students in using their knowledge of French to compare French and American journalism.
