Title: Working The Battery!
Description: This lesson focuses on the percussion feature in the final number of this years band show. The lesson will occur during a marching/music sectional focusing on technique (marching and playing), rhythmic interpretation, timing, and musicianship. The lesson will focus on the percussion feature which is measures seventy-one through seventy-five of the final number West Side Story. Please see the attached music for reference to what we will be rehearsing.

Title: The 7 Essentials of Tone Production
Description: This is an ongoing lesson for Middle Level bands. The 7 concepts that are taught affect every aspect of a young instrumentalist's performance. The lesson uses teacher/peer modeling and recordings of professional musicians and service bands to demonstrate the desired tonal qualities.
