Title: Social Media Responsibility
Description: Students will watch a local news report on Social Media Responsibility. They will work in groups and conduct research about the topic. They will come up with tips for teens, then create a presentation using the Haiku Deck web app that can be shared with other teens and the community.

Subject: Science (9 - 12), or Technology Education (9 - 12)
Title: A Trip along the Alimentary Canal
Description: Students will prepare a digital presentation on the digestive organs, accessory structures, processes, digestive chemicals, and nutrients. This is a part of the unit on digestion and metabolism, and is performed at the beginning of the unit with additional content afterwards, especially on metabolism, nutrition, and digestive disorders. It involves use of technology to research, create, and display a presentation. It may be done individually or in small groups.

Subject: Arts Education (7 - 12), or Mathematics (5 - 12), or Technology Education (9 - 12)
Title: Just the facts! Exploring Order of Operations and Properties of Real Numbers
Description: Students use their imagination while learning the importance of 'Order of Operations' and 'Properties of Real Numbers'. This lesson incorporates class discussions, wiki and/or online discussion threads (free at and/or, art and puzzles.This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.

Subject: Languages Other Than English (Foreign Languages) (9 - 12), or Technology Education (9 - 12)
Title: Pen Pal Mania!
Description: In this lesson, students will use the target language to correspond with a native speaker. This is an excellent activity for students in second semester of second year or higher.
