Title: It's Time
Description: Students must prepare to be future business professionals.  By researching the importance of employee/student time and attendance and creating a brochure, students will gain essential knowledge of practical business practices.  The brochure should explain the school's policy, describe the role good/poor attendance plays in the workplace, and describe penalties/rewards.

Title: I Owe, I Owe, So Off to Work I Go! Calculating College Cost Repayment, Budgeting, and Finding Loan Forgiveness Sources
Description: Students often attend college and are faced with the mounting debt incurred from student loans.  This lesson plan will guide through calculating repayment for students loans, preparing a monthly budget, and researching options for possible loan forgiveness. This lesson plan contains a financial aid component.

Title: Financing Your College Education-What College Can I Afford?
Description: This lesson provides student with the opportunity to think about financing college by considering the best use of the funding available. Consider pros and cons of attending school in state or out of state. Students should determine which education option they can afford to meet the goal of attending college. This plan contains a financial aid component.

Title: Fashion Entrepreneur:  Take a Chance on Yourself
Description: This lesson focuses on fashion entrepreneurship. Students take a personality profile to determine who are risk takers or think outside the box. An Internet search will indicate job opportunities available in the fashion and design area. Students are to envision a new business and develop a business plan proposal. There is a financial aid component in this lesson that includes a search for scholarships, grants, work study programs, and loans to fund higher education.

Title: Pennies for your Future!
Description: This is a hands-on activity that is designed to guide students through the process of finding and applying for scholarships. Students will use word processing software to write and submit a scholarship that is applicable to them.  This lesson plan contains a financial aid component. Authors: Mona Coan and Stefanie Weaver

Title: Dressing the Part
Description: Dress code requirements in business and school are always a controversial topic. In this project students will research the value of dressing appropriately for a variety of settings to include business and school. They will research various Internet resources and use the data collected to analyze how this may have impacted the dress code requirements of their school system and create a dress code brochure with their student body as the audience. This is a Commerce and Information Project.

Title: Who Am I? What Have I Done? Where Am I Going?
Description: This is a project-based lesson plan designed to guide students through the creation of a digital career portfolio.  This lesson is only a guide based on the requirements from a Career Tech Student Organization. This is a Commerce and Information Technology Lesson Plan. Students will use the same rubric throughout the process to maximize learning opportunity.

Title: Career Plans
Description: The project will consist of Internet research and Modern Language Association (MLA) style reports created in Microsoft Word. Each student will create their own report. This project will give students an opportunity to increase their knowledge about their career choice. This is a Commerce and Technology Information lesson plan.


Subject: Business, Management, and Administration (9 - 12), or English Language Arts (10)
Title: Career Choices
Description: Students use information from personal assessments regarding work skills, personal values, and personal interests to conduct research about a suggested career. Students will then create a brochure reflecting research. These brochures will be shared with the Albertville High School counselors office. This is a Commerce and Information Technology lesson plan.

Title: Business Communication
Description: This lesson will help students learn about business communication. Students will learn how to write various types of business letters and other communication.
