Description: Students often attend college and are faced with the mounting debt incurred from student loans. This lesson plan will guide through calculating repayment for students loans, preparing a monthly budget, and researching options for possible loan forgiveness.

Description: This lesson explores the various options available when saving for the future. Students will use the Federal Reserve education link, http://www.federalreserveeducation.org/pfed/indextext.cfm#Interest%20Rates, to explore background information about interest rates. Using interest rates found on www.bankrate.com and www.treasurydirect.gov students will build a spreadsheet to compare earnings for various savings instruments. This plan contains a financial literacy component.
