Title: FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for Dummies Brochure
Description: This lesson gives students the opportunity to take a hands-on approach to learning about FAFSA. Students will research and compile information and graphics to create a professional, tri-fold brochure containing information about FAFSA using a variety of software programs. This lesson plan contains a financial aid component. Authors: Mona Coan and Stefanie Weaver

Title: How Wide is My World?
Description: Students will learn how to gather information, design, and create a presentation, publication, and a web page that reflect a desire for the students to make a difference in their world.  Essential components of each multimedia will be demonstrated.  Final products will be created and presented to their classmates for evaluation.

Title: Dressing the Part
Description: Dress code requirements in business and school are always a controversial topic. In this project students will research the value of dressing appropriately for a variety of settings to include business and school. They will research various Internet resources and use the data collected to analyze how this may have impacted the dress code requirements of their school system and create a dress code brochure with their student body as the audience. This is a Commerce and Information Project.

Title: Our Business
Description: Students (working with a partner) will create a business. This project can be used at the end of the year as a major project or divided up into smaller lessons. Project incorporates all of the content standards.

Title: Christmas Creations
Description: Students will create their own Christmas ornaments and gift labels. Students must be able to set up the formatting for these documents appropriately using graphic design software.  (Please also see project-based lesson plan attachment.) This is a Commerce and Information Technology Lesson Plan.

Title: CTSO Recruitment for the “Tech Savvy”
Description: Career Tech Student Organization (CTSO) should be an integral part of Commerce Information Technology courses. This lesson will allow students to take an active role in promoting their CTSO organization. This lesson is an ideal teamwork activity in which students teams will be responsible for creating a Marketing Pamphlet utilizing photo’s taken from previous and current year activities. This is a Commerce and Information Technology lesson plan.
