Description: The student will gain a general understanding of the theory of drum brake operation as well as hands on practice in the repair and maintenance of drum brake systems

Title: Automotive Brake Service- inspecting and machining brake drums  
Description: The proper inspection machining or refinishing of brake drums ensures quality brake repairs with little to no opportunity for returns for customer complaints. This lesson will teach inspection, measuring and machining techniques and procedures.

Title: Automotive Brake Service-Constructing a Brake Trainer
Description: A brake trainer can be a valuable assett to teaching students about automotive brakes. On the vehicle brake systems are embedded and difficult to see  in the  "big picture" of brake systems.

Title: Automotive Brake Service-inspecting and Machining a Disc Brake Rotor Off the Vehicle.
Description: The proper inspection machining or refinishing of disc brake rotors ensures quality brake repairs with little to no opportunity for returns for customer complaints. This lesson will teach inspection, measuring and machining techniques and procedures.

Title: Safety in the Automotive Service Technology Lab
Description: This lesson will provide students with the required practices and procedures for working safely in the automotive service technology laboratory. Students will learn about required Personal Protective Equipment [PPE], safe tool and equipment operation, as well as hazardous material handling storage and disposal regulations.
