Title: Exponents Rule
Description: During this lesson, eighth grade students will be introduced to the properties of integer exponents (i.e. multiplying powers, dividing powers, raising a power to a power). The students will view a slideshow presentation that will introduce them to the three rules. The students will use the attached graphic organizer to record the rules and examples.

Title: The Laws of Exponents
Description: During this activity, students will review the laws of exponents. They will demonstrate their knowledge by creating an interactive computer game or a podcast.This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science University, GEMS-U Project.

Title: Order Of Operations Competition
Description: This activity will bring a fun and interactive way to get extra practice with the Order of Operations. Students will play a game that allows them to set up problems and calculate answers using the Order of Operations.This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science University, GEMS-U Project.
