Title: What's Wrong With Global Climate Change? I Like it Warm!
Description: Students will identify factors that affect the solubility of a salt and test one of the factors (temperature). They will apply their experience to ocean salinity, the effects of temperature on the composition of ocean water, and what effects that could have.

Title: Graphing at all levels: It’s a beautiful thing!
Description: This lesson addresses the societal issue of the arts being eliminated in many public schools be employing graphs (at any level) as an artistic media. Review of all types of graphs is included through various interactive websites.This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.

Title: Who am I? Find A Polynomial From Its Roots
Description: Students analyze the roots and end behavior of a polynomials and write the equation of a polynomial under given conditions. Students apply theorems concerning the multiplicity of roots, conjugates of irrational or complex imaginary roots to find a polynomial under given conditions. Students will factor polynomials to find the complex roots. Students graph polynomials and determine the local extrema. This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.

Title: Exponential Growth and Decay
Description: This lesson on exponential growth and decay involves a variety of teaching resources. There are a variety of websites used to teach and reinforce how to identify exponential growth or decay and how to solve problems relating to growth and decay. There is a lab provided that will help model these concepts being taught and computer based practice on these concepts. Videos are provided that give a picture image of how exponential growth and decay works. This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.

Title: You Mean ANYTHING To The Zero Power Is One?
Description: This lesson is a technology-based project to reinforce concepts related to the Exponential Function. It can be used in conjunction with any textbook practice set. Construction of computer models of several Exponential Functions will promote meaningful learning rather than memorization.
