Title: JUMP!!! An Exploration into Parametric Equations
Description: Students will use vectors and parametric equations to determine the velocity that they should jump out of the window of a burning building in order to land safely into the rescue net. They will work in small groups and utilize graphing calculators. This interdisciplinary lesson includes the subjects of Physics and math.This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.

Description: In this Illuminations lesson, students generate parametric equations to describe the position of planets in relation to the Sun.
