Description: This is a hands-on lesson that will help students explore what geologists do to study the different layers of the Earth. Students will work in cooperative groups to complete this activity. Students will also keep a Science Journal telling about their findings. This lesson will follow the Learning Cycle.This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.
