Title: Creating Voki to Describe the Digestive System.
Description: Students will create a digital presentation using a Voki on the digestive system, organs, and accessory structures. This is a part of the unit on digestion and metabolism, and is performed at the beginning of the unit with additional content afterwards, especially on metabolism, nutrition, and digestive disorders. It involves the use of technology to research, create, and display a presentation. It may be completed individually or in small groups. Title: The Traveler's Gift: What's in the traveler's suitcase?
Description: After introducing the novel The Traveler's Gift  by Andy Andrews and reading chapters 1 and 2, students will be given this graphic organizer as an ongoing "during reading" guide while finishing the novel.  This could also be used as an after reading activity.  It helps students keep track of the characters met in the novel, and the lessons they taught the main character. Title: Romeo and Juliet "What if......?"
Description: Student groups will be assigned separate acts of Romeo and Juliet where they will read and interpret the original version; then, remake it using a modern spin but keeping the same basic plot.

Title: Literary Elements in Literature
Description: This lesson is applicable to any story or novel in literature. The students will be introduced to twelve literary elements through a podcast. They will then be divided into small groups to complete activities involving story and literary elements.
