Description: This lesson is applicable to any story or novel in literature. The students will be introduced to twelve literary elements through a podcast. They will then be divided into small groups to complete activities involving story and literary elements.

Title: Google in the Classroom: Using Google Docs to Write for Audience, Context, and Purpose
Description: Students write and digitally publish a weekly newsletter using Google Docs. The content will be a synthesis of interesting issues from their class as well as some outside news and issues which directly impact students. The target audience will be students, faculty, and administration, as well as parents and the larger community. This lesson is based on the webpage "Writing for Context" by Andrea Zellner.

Description: This resource, an EDSITEment-reviewed Blue Ribbon resource offered by the University of Calgary, is designed to assist students gain a background in medieval European history. Intended to provide a brief overview of the conditions at the end of Europe's Middle Ages, the tutorial is presented in a series of chapters that summarize the economic, political, religious, and intellectual environment of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. The main objective of the tutorial is to furnish a baseline against which the vast changes of the following centuries may be measured.
