Title: I Am What I Learn- Video Scholarship Essay Contest
Description: This lesson provides students with the opportunity to explore a variety of available scholarships to determine which scholarships may be sources of funding for college.  Students will create a video essay which will be used to apply for a college scholarship.  This lesson plan contains a financial aid component.

Title: Writing About Issues in the Media
Description: In this lesson students analyze media coverage of current issues and present their findings in a formal research paper and class presentation.

Title: Powerpointing to Your Career
Description: This exercise is used as the culmination of a career research project. This is a technology-based, interdisciplinary project which requires students to do Internet research and prepare a slideshow presentation. If a career is not used as a the topic of research, then the requirements can be adjusted to fit the topic of consideration.

Students study online early manuscripts, learn the conventions of Anglo-Saxon poetry, solve online riddles, write riddles, and reflect on what they have learned.
