Overview:
This podcast is the first one in a series that provides basic information about Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The podcast describes the five categories under ASD and the unique characteristics of each. The viewer will learn about the three deficit areas that are common to every person on the spectrum (i.e. communication, social skills, and restricted and/ or repetitive behaviors). The viewer will also learn how these deficits can present themselves across the school age span.
