Overview:
In this lesson students will learn about the things seeds need to grow. We will use rye grass and potting soil, knee high stockings, pipe cleaners, and wiggly eyes. The students will measure a half cup of the dirt mixture for each of the three sections of the caterpillar. They will tie off the knee highs in between sections. Add pipe cleaners for antennas and wiggly eyes. Water with a spray bottle several times a day. The seed will sprout within a few days.
