Overview:
This lesson is predominantly focused on a multi-faceted discussion of the novel Jubilee by Margaret Walker. Students are provided an opportunity to choose which aspect of the time period during which the novel occurs to concentrate on. Choices include music of the time, letters from slaves and slave-owners, and photographs and other images from the time period.
