Welcome to the School Improvement Website The Alabama State Department of Education (SDE), through a statewide system of support, provides technical assistance to meet needs related to school improvement. Team members work with district and school personnel to coach the use of improvement processes that will facilitate improving student outcomes. This website provides access to a variety of resources that are used for this support. The School Improvement Team Regional School Improvement Coaches (RSIC), assigned within in-service center regions, provide district-level support. Peer Mentors (PM) are assigned to schools identified by the state in need of assistance. English Learner (EL) Coaches are assigned to work with districts identified as not meeting AMAO’s for two or more consecutive years. District Grant Coaches (DGC) are assigned to select districts that received School Improvement Grant awards. |
