Title: Classifying and Sequencing: Introduction
Description: Classifying and sequencing are fundamental skills in a scientist's repertoire. This series of activities leads students to exercise observational skills to identify characteristics in sets of "organisms" that enable the set to be divided dichotomously into subsets using both single and multiple characters. Students develop dichotomous schemes and keys to both imaginary and real populations. In addition, some criteria can be used to sequence the members of a population.
