Throw underhand and overhand to a partner or target with accuracy.
This NFL FLAG Football curriculum was created for use in elementary school physical education classes. The activities in this curriculum are appropriate for use with students between grades 3- 5 (ages 8- 10) and are designed to be delivered during a standard 40 minute physical education class over the course of two weeks (or 10 lessons). The lessons included in this curriculum use a combination of individual and small and large group skill development activities that are in alignment with SHAPE America's National Standards & Grade- Level Outcomes for K- 12 Physical Education.

Catch a ball thrown by a partner, demonstrating correct form.
Throw underhand and overhand to a partner or target for accuracy and distance.
Catch a ball, thrown at varying levels and distances by a partner, with correct form.
Demonstrate simple offensive and defensive strategies and tactics in a variety of game settings.
Throw underhand and overhand using correct form in dynamic environments.
Catch with correct form in dynamic individual, partner, and small group activities.
Apply skills learned in earlier grades - simple strategies and tactics in chasing/ fleeing, offensive/ defensive strategies and tactics.
