Title: High Sounds and Low Sounds
Students will sing high sounds and low sounds. They will listen to different sounds and identify whether the sounds are high or low. They will sort pictures into groups of objects that make high sounds and low sounds.
Standard(s): [AED] MU (1) 13: Distinguish between low and high sounds produced by voices or instruments.
Title: Vibrations of Sound
Students will learn what sound waves look like as they produce high and low sounds, loud and soft sounds, and noise using a website on sound waves. They will explore how vibrations produce sound through hands-on exploration using rulers, cups, and rubber bands. They will then see visual representation of sound waves using Audacity recording software.
