Title: Can A Goldfish Live with a Crab? Comparing Informational Text and Fiction
Students will learn the differences in books that give information and books that tell stories while learning about goldfish. They will find out interesting facts about goldfish and share what they have learned by writing their own informational page. They will compare an informational text to fun story about a goldfish that doesn’t want to live alone.

Title: Rain, Ice, Steam: Using Reading to Support Inquiry About the Water Cycle
Water is always moving in a continuous cycle from liquid to solid to gas and back again. Students study this never-ending cycle through shared readings, center activities, and experiments.
