Title: My Hero
Unit Plan Overview: Students will be exploring heroism in literature and in the real world. Students will compare and contrast literary heroes and heroes portrayed in the media. Students will then host a heroes' tea as a tribute and a testament to the lives of people in the local community who have made a positive impact. The tea will include a presentation of each student's hero. Presentations will include a photograph, an essay explaining why that person is a hero, and an Aurasma video.
