Description:

Students will view a video that describes the relationship between multiplication and division. The video provides several illustrations that demonstrate this relationship. After viewing the video, the students will draw illustrations and corresponding math equations to show their understanding of this mathematical relationship.

Description:

This digital tool will challenge students to show their mastery of fluently multiplying and dividing within 100 by using their knowledge of the relationship between multiplication and division. Students have the option of three different challenge modes.

Title: Multiplication and Division Fact Family Practice
Description:

The teacher will demonstrate the relationship between multiplication and division by projecting the fact family worksheets to an interactive whiteboard or document camera. Students will work in small groups or individually to complete their own fact family worksheets.

Title: Facts Fluency and Problem Solving With Ken Ken
Description:

Ken Ken is a fun and engaging way for students to practice fluency with math facts as well as develop deductive reasoning skills.  This activity presents the game rules to the students and shows them how to choose the correct size and difficulty level to meet their needs.

In this video segment from Cyberchase, there is a valuable Encryptor chip being auctioned off that the CyberSquad needs to purchase in order to save Motherboard. It looks like it will take at least 100 Snelfus to win the bidding. The CyberSquad plans to raise Snelfus by working each day to earn and save Snelfus over a period of 11 days. The squad must use their multiplication and division skills to solve their problem!

In this video segment from Cyberchase, the CyberSquad is shooting a film. On their fourth day of filming, they hope to shoot an extra scene, which means their film supply costs will go up. They look at their budget and find that if they lower their crew costs, they can film the extra scene without going over their budget for the day. The crew uses their multiplication and division skills to budget the extra scene.
