Overview:

In this learning activity, students will analyze cultural elements, including language, art, music, literature, belief systems using ePals.  ePals is a safe way to connect with students across the world.

Activity:

After a lesson on cultural elements, language, art, music, literature, and belief systems, students will use the ePal resource to connect via Skype, email exchange, and Project Workspace.  Students will converse with diverse peers and exchange cultural norms and ideas that will help them create narratives based on the student with whom they are interacting.  

Assessment Strategies:

Students will share their writing with their diverse partner and edit the narratives together. The peer edited work will be collected following each session.
