These short, interactive lessons can be used with students to introduce the topic of the basic parts of a computer.

  1. Using a projector and an interactive whiteboard or slate, the teacher will open the interactive lesson.
  2. The teacher will go through the interactive lesson to introduce the basic parts of a computer technology system.
  3. Students will control the interactive lesson through the prompts given in the lesson.
Assessment Strategies:

  • Have students complete the quick assessment built into the interactive lesson.
  • Have the students complete the following interactive worksheet during a rotation and check for understanding. "Label the Parts of a Computer System"

Advanced Preparation:

You will need to have the following resources:

  • Projector
  • Interactive Whiteboard/slate

The students do not need prior knowledge of computer technology systems.
