Title: Word Cloud
Description: Tagxedo is a tool for generating word clouds from user provided text. The clouds allows you to emphasize words by altering their text size. You can create your clouds with different fonts, layouts, themes, and color schemes. You have the freedom to create different cloud shapes, such as animals Once complete, you can save, share with others electronically or print. This site could be used at the end of a lesson adjectives. Assign students to select a word cloud shape from Tagxedo and fill in with adjectives to describe that shape. For example if the student chooses the elephant, they would use words like enormous, large, big, grey, huge, smart, hungry, loud, slow, thirsty, intelligent, etc.

Title: Where in the World?
Description: Smore is a service for creating webpages, brochures, and online flyers. There are many design and content options. Students can add elements like images, videos, sounds, events, and locations to their pages by simply dragging them and dropping them on the page. Students will be assigned different countries and make brochures about them using Smore. They will be required to have images of their assigned countries’ national flags, historical figures, and leaders. They will also be required to have national anthem background music and a short informative video about their countries. Their brochures will share what continent the country is on, what major oceans surround it, and what native language is spoken.

Description: Storybird is a website where you can create and publish books that you write. The site has many illustrations that you can use with the book that you have written. You can also read other people’s creations and give feedback on them. You can also receive feedback from other people about your creations. Storybird can be used in writing and teaching the students about technology. It can expand the students’ creativity by giving them a chance to create something that is all their own and publish it. This will also get students excited about reading and writing.

Description: SchoolTube can be used to teach brief glimpses into History.  This website allows the students to create and post their own teacher approved videos in a safe environment.  The already posted videos can also be used to provide examples for the students before they begin their own videos.

Description:   Story Jumper is an online publishing website that allows kids to create their own story books. You have the tools needed to create a title page, dedication page, choose a theme for your book, upload pictures, or simply use the clip art gallery provided. This tool can be used in the classroom as an english language arts activity. By having students create their own books, teachers can express the importance of correct grammar and proper sentences. This tool can be used for any grade level. In kindergarten the students could have a more picture-book based story with few words and in sixth grade students could write a book about a famous historical leader from the Civil War.

Description: This tool allows students to apply what they have learned about geometric shapes in a creative way.  Students will use the application Skitch to take photos of geometric shapes represented in real world items.  Then the students will use the drawing portion of the application to create new shapes inside of the real world items that they have found.

Title: Flip that Angle
Description: iFlipflashcards is a flashcard application developed as an Android application that is available in the Google Play store. This application allows users to create their own digital definitions, images, and graphs on flashcards that are accessible anywhere at the click of a button. iFlipflashcards also allows users to turn their digital flashcards into practice quizzes that the application keeps data on as the flashcards are used. This application is a good resource to use when teaching angles. It allows graphed angles (obtuse, acute, right) to be loaded onto a digital flashcard with the definition of the type of angle and why the displayed angle is considered the angle that it is labeled. This allows students to practice the terms that were learned during a lesson on angles at anytime.
