Title: Keep Talking!
Description: This activity energizes students and enables students to practice listening and speaking.  Students will use improvisational skills to speak on any given topic for one minute without stopping.  This activity will enhance students' ability to think quickly on their feet, improve their social skills, and prepare them for play script writing  

Subject: Arts Education (K - 3), or English Language Arts (K)
Title: RHYMING CHARADES K, 1, 2, 3
Description: Students use listening and kinesthetic skills to show their understanding of rhyme.  They associate words that rhyme through pantomime.  This activity encourages students to use prior knowledge and experience.

Subject: Arts Education (K - 3)
Description: Students will use the alphabet to take an imaginary trip to the supermarket.  They will associate each letter of the alphabet with specific  items found in a grocery store.  Students will also use letter association to remember each item purchased during the shopping spree

Subject: Arts Education (3), or English Language Arts (3)
Title: Who Are You Looking At?
Description: This lesson allows students to brain storm and use kinesthetic learning. The primary focus of the lesson is to teach young drama students how relationships with others and interactions with their environment help when developing a theatrical character. Students will also make connections on how the relationships, actions, and interactions of characters in literature make stories more interesting.

Title: Writing a Movie: Summarizing and Rereading a Film Script      Add Bookmark
Description: Lights! Camera! Action! In this lesson, students view a scene with no dialogue from E.T., write a script for that scene, and perform a dramatic reading while the scene plays.

Description: Reinforce student understanding of parts of speech through the analysis of sample cinquain poems followed by the creation of original cinquains.

Title: Get the Reel Scoop: Comparing Books to Movies      Add Bookmark
Description: Students compare a book to its film adaptation, and then perform readers theater of a scene from the book that they feel was not well represented in the movie version.
